Christian's Choco-Choco Chip Cake
So Christian came to me yesterday and asked if we could make a cake with Chocolate and Chocolate Chip cake. I have wanted to do a two batter cupcake for a while so I asked him if it needed to be a cake, of course it did. So I am giving you a change up a bit this is a cake not cupcake but I am 100% sure it could also be a cupcake. So here you are Christian's Choco-Choco Chip Cake.
Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees. I used a non stick cake pan but if you do not have a non-stick make sure to butter and flour your cake pan so it does not stick.
Choco Chip Batter:
2 Cups flour
1 1/3 Cup Sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 Teaspoon baking powder
1/4 Teaspoon salt
4 Tablespoons melted butter
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/3 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
Mix all ingredients except the chocolate chips until smooth. When smooth add in chocolate chips and mix well. In your greased pan make 5 dollops of the batter to the bottom of the pan. I used an ice cream scoop to make sure that they were all the same size. Once you have added your five dollops put the rest of the batter aside.
In a new mixing bowl mix up the Chocolate batter.
Chocolate Batter:
1 Cup Flour
1/3 Cup sugar
1 Teaspoon baking soda
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/3 Cup Chocolate baking Powder
1 Tablespoon White Vinegar
4 Tablespoons Oil
1/2 Cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 Cup milk
Mix all ingredients together until smooth. When the batter is mixed pour it over the top of the Choco-chip batter. Make sure that it is covered completely
When the chocolate batter is on the cake grab the Choco-chip batter and apply 5 more dollops on top of the chocolate batter.
Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes remove pull out of the oven and sprinkle an additional cup of chocolate chips over the top of the cake evenly. Place back into the oven and bake an additional 10 minutes.
Check with toothpick to be sure it is completely cooked and put aside to cool. .
I served this cooled down with some ice cream on top. It was so yummy and very gooey and sweet. Hope you love it as much as we do!
Until next time happy Baking!!!
